You repaired the chip but didn't get the whole job done. After repairing the chip you neede to use the bath tub paint to resurface the entire tub so that the tub is water tight again. Then your repair should last you a lifetime.
It may cost a little bit,but I'm sure it will be worth it. I would love to have one! Get some estimates from companies that could do it because I think what's happened is the porcelain has chipped from the cast iron. And they're going to have to probably do a porcelain bake to adhere to the cast iron. Good luck!
sand area before, make sure very dry, hair dryer, might take more than one application to 'build up' the paint. dab on like white-out.
