I don't have white Swamp Hibiscus (that's what we call it in my area), but I do have a red one and it grows very well from seed; seeds are usually cheaper than buying a plant. Here's a link to the plant on Dave's Garden. The advantage to Dave's is that you can find ratings for many online and local garden nurseries.
