Think I would leave it alone. Bet it is beautiful.
Two options : sand down and restain and seal or sand and paint. Either will look good, just a matter of personal preference.

Trim boards glued or nailed and painted. Pinterest or Hometalk surely have some great design ideas. Plan to do my mobile home doors.
add molding, using a miter side to match corners, in a pattern of your choosing. Caulk all edges, lightly sand door and add a new coat of paint! New door! Good luck!
