Yes, if you change your mind in five years, you can't just pressure wash it out. And the paint gets into all the little crevices in the paint and concrete and won't come out. You are pretty much deciding the the house will always have to be painted after the first time. What you have to ask yourself is, will the brick look substantially better left as it is, or painted? And you get to make that call. Best wishes 😇
Instead of regular paint I would research a stain which down the road will be easier to remove
Yes,if you ever decide that you want your brick back, you'll have to have it professionally sand blasted to get the paint off. Even then it may not all come off.
Ditto . . . I happen to like the look of brick, but some brick that I have seen - I would paint - so a matter of personal taste . . .
Yes, because you have a house that doesn't need to be painted and are making it a house that will forever need to be painted. I prefer to use whatever money I spend on my house on things that will improve or maintain it. Adding another money-consuming house chore isn't a plus in my book.
In addition, you could be hurting your resale value. Unless your brick is really ugly.

I don't believe so. It's whatever you like. I've seen a lot of brick painted and I really think he adds something to the house, especially if you have ugly brick. I don't think it would bring down the value at all.
