  • Try just moving the furniture around till you find an arrangement that pleases you and works for everyone. Once furniture is in place, start adding pillows, throws, knick knacks, pictures, a rug, etc. Then it will look and feel more homey and using what you already have is even better!

grab your tape. measure and the graph paper measure the room note where windows snd doors are. then measure the furniture. graph them out. then cut them out. its easier moveing scraps of paper than the piano.

I had a similar problem, and I had to fit a giant piano in my tiny living room. What I did which really helped is a I used a free room planner website to make a few options based on my furniture needs instead of rearanging a hundred times and dragging furniture everywhere.

Choose a style for the room and keep it, try to find some element of harmony in the room (cover the chairs and the sofa with something that matches other elements, use similar frames for the wall art&photos, use indoor plants). If is too serious, add a statement (a vintage object, a toy with personality). Read and look at Many home decoration ideas.
