Douglas Hunt on Jan 29, 2014Is there a reason you don't want to just put in new coco fiber? It comes in rolls that you can cut to fit your window boxes: http://www.amazon.com/Bosmere-F531-60-Inch-20-Inch-Replacement/dp/B001PF1FMQ/ref=sr_1_1?s=lawn-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1390997097&sr=1-1&keywords=coco+fiber+liner http://www.windowbox.com/window-boxes-planters/window-baskets-hayrack/coco-liners-roll.htmlHelpful Reply

Bruce N Dala Anbuhl on Jan 30, 2014If you need to replace the coconut fiber because it is falling through the wires of the window boxes, you can line them with a smaller metal. Hardware stores and garden centers usually sell rolls of wire with various sized openings, think chicken wire, but smaller. You should be able to cut pieces to fit your window boxes and secure it, then add the coconut fiber on top of that and fill it with potting mix and flowers. If you can take a window box to the store, the salesperson may be better able to help you out. Hope that helps...Helpful Reply

Moxie on Jan 30, 2014I put cheap liners from the dollar store with holes knocked out the the bottom (small ones - screwdriver through the pre-fab indents) for drainage...they surprisingly look great and hold all the goodies....or you could use screening material to line the wire baskets..uber cheapHelpful Reply

KathrynElizabeth Etier on Feb 01, 2014I've used net from the fabric department but have had the best luck by doing what Moxie suggests, using liners from the dollar store, or putting dollar store hanging planters (minus the hanging apparatus) into hanging baskets. I've several long, rectangular wire window boxes and I put plastic window boxes that were a terra cotta color inside to line them, and that worked well.Helpful Reply
