easy Peay Michelle. No need to prime or sand. Just paint. I used two coats. The difficult part is the dark waxing , and regular waxing, I found anyway. It takes a while to get the hang of how much wax to use.
No need to sand or prime when using chalk paint, that's the beauty of it. Read directions!
You do have to clean them first . And you don't have to wax . You can use a good water based non yellowing polyurethane to seal them .
