Chewing tobacco brewed to make a strong "tea." Let it steep and cool for several hours, then dilute slightly and sprinkle around or over anything in the garden. (Don't bother to filter out the tobacco, just keep it in the dirt and not on plant leaves.) I'm now a great grandma and learned this from my grandma... it works!
What is a leaf hopper?
My favorite formula is using 1 teaspoon of Dawn and on teaspoon of cooking oil to a gallon of water. if you spray both sides of the leaves it really work. I used this for aphid control on roses and it was completely effective.
