Beverly Hullender on Jan 30, 2014Print what you want said in the font you think you want on a piece of plain paper using the landscape orientation. Fold down the paper (or cut) so that you can hold the print at arms length towards the area that you want to apply it. Squinting ever so slightly will help you "imagine" what it's going to look like on your wall. It's cheaper and easier than re-doing it on the wall. Good luck and show us the finished results!Helpful Reply

The Garden Frog with C Renee on Jan 30, 2014Do you have someone who has beautiful handwriting? You can convert your own handwriting to fonts and maybe go with something that is a bit more personalized~your own handwriting (or even a friend's). There are links on Pinterest for this. I cannot wait to try it!Helpful Reply

Cynthia E on Jan 30, 2014If you print out the different fonts you are torn between on transparency paper you can tape them up on the wall to help you decide which 1 you love.Helpful Reply

Vicki K on Jan 30, 2014There is something called Spencerian Script that you can look up - it's just fancy handwriting, no set "font." Lots of loops and flourishes. You can look at it and copy it with your saying, it's easy as pie. Write it on printer paper, put carbon paper behind, trace it off with a ballpoint pen, then paint it in with "char-black", or whatever color you are using. If you want a font, I like casual "Apple Chancery", more regular "Lucida Calligraphy", and more casual "Lucida Handwriting". I got it from Word for Mac. Good luck! You can always buy stencils, paint it on, then connect the little spacers so it flows.Helpful Reply

LIZ on Jul 03, 2015I'd look at Bodoni and Poster Bodoni or Snell script. I agree to print them out large maybe i different sheets of paper and put them up.What looks great small doesn't always look great large like colors. Poster Bodoni is what Vogue uses.Helpful Reply

B. Enne on Jul 03, 2015I like ''Zapafino'' (very classic and legible) on this site: http://www.wallappeals.com/fonts.html ''Adorable'', ''Alex Brush'', ''Ambiance BT'', from this site are good too: http://www.agreatimpression.com/choice-of-fonts-for-custom-orders.html I personally think anything that is too squished, childlike or ''scrolly'' is not the best choice. I like ''Curly Joe'' on this site:: http://webdesignerwall.com/general/30-free-fonts-for-creative-projects This talks about decorating styles and fonts: http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/10-free-fonts-for-making-your-own-graphic-wall-art-214903 ''Great Dance'', "American'', ''Ballymena'',''Freehand'',''Park Avenue'',''Harlow'': http://www.wallslicks.com/Articles.asp?ID=255Helpful Reply
