This is a before and after project I did with the help of my son . He bought the house and it came with a pool but the entrance to the pool wasnt very nice to say the least . We decided to give it a update .
Time: 1 Months Cost: $20000 Difficulty: Medium

Once the snow was gone we tore off the old landing and then poured footings for the new deck and gazebo .

My son wanted to have the deck and gazebo all together which I think was a great idea .  All the main floor joist are in and ready for decking .

All of the decking and building materials are white cedar .

The gazebo is 18 foot diameter , nice and big for large gatherings .

We added lighting inside the gazebo and a light on each post around the pool .

The deck around the pool is 6 feet wide , plenty of room to walk around . There is also plenty of storage space below . We added a few double doors below for easy access .

Here is a shot to show the size of it now . Much nicer than what was there :-) All of the railings were done with aluminum balusters . It took a day just to drill all of the holes for them .

It was a great project to do and gave me a chance to spend some quality time with my son . He is a roofer by trade so he took care of the roof :-)
