Is it safe to paint on an oven and which paint do I use?

I've been seeing a lot of projects on painted appliances, but not on painted ovens.
I have an old oven that I would love to add some color to.
Is it safe to paint the oven door and knob panel? (Not the range)
Do I need to use special heat resistant paint?

yes they have heat resistant paint in cans at home depot got some for my smoker

You can use appliance paint on ovens, but make sure you read the instructions well before you start and ensure the oven is super clean. Good luck.
