My sister took a antique wooden sewing machine that had a base and drawers, painted it and her son made a butcher block on top for a coffee bar. I noticed you have mugs on the wall. You can buy a coffee sign also.
is the door used! If not necessary, try turning it into a "command center" for your family. I'd use some chalkboard paint and some pieces of molding (painted to match the main color) to create areas of interest for the family members, such as a calendar, shopping list, meal menu, etc.
make a coffee corner!
Hi Jenilynne, How about a small narrow colorful console. You could decorate with kitchen gadgets or cook books etc... And It would give it a nice punch of color!
Have fun!
A plant near the refrigerator, something green and alive seems to add a fresh clean element
Hello Jenilynn; If you enjoy Cookbooks as I do, that area would be Beautiful with a small table or bookcase filled with books.
Also if you drink wine, (as I do ) that would be a Beautiful area for a small wine bar or cabinet.
As far as a wine bar, you can use a small table or even your dry sink that you removed would be Beautiful, and it would work well.
If you are tired of the way your dry sink looks, what about giving it a new coat of paint??
I hope that this is helpful to you!!! Take Care!
How about a spice rack? There's tutorials for"skinny racks" that fit next to your fridge, you could turn it on it's side and it would look adorable!
tall plant in the corner?
Some type of greenery would be nice there. Or a small table for keys/phone charger station.
I would put a narrow decorative and functional bench. Simple, clean but useful. Especially if it is near a back door and you want to put boots or shoes on to go outside. You could have a little storage area under for shoes and above cubbies or coat rack.
Thanks for the idea!
