Why are none of my zucchini plants producing vegetables?

We had this to happen last year for the first time. There are insects that sting the blooms so they will not produce. This year we used a pesticide to keep these inserts and we haven't had any problems this year.

If they floweredand not fruited you ay have herma. Hermo plant. Both male and female.

Thank you. I do have bees in my garden and I live near the coast, so it is not too hot, also not an abundance of rain in CA. in the summer. Still no vegetable, so I think I'll try the paintbrush pollination trick.

You need to have them pollinated by bees or birds. The paintbrush idea hopefully will work.
