you can paint concrete...visit your local hardware/building supply store for concrete primer and paint. Make sure you thoroughly clean your porch prior to painting to ensure the surface accepts the paint.
This would look terrific with some stenciling and you already have the stone pattern!
I would do the 'slabs' in something that looked like soapstone, or the green/blue/grey slate....with a roller (they sell sponge rollers that save so much time...) and then do the grout dark brown or gray.
painting them to look like moss with dark grout is also an option.
