It seems to me that I recently saw a post about this on Hometalk. I don't recall all the details, but it had to do with using your iron on a very low setting and I cannot recall if it's cloth or paper or something else that you use. Perhaps a search of the site would be more helpful than me. :-)
Hello Ronmark; I had such a thing happen to one of my Antique tables at a party....
I ended up using Homax Furniture White Ring Remover Cloth. I purchased it at Home Depot.
I tried some of the Home remedies, and they did not work out for my Antique table.

I used a slightly damp cloth placed over the white ring then used an iron on low setting. It disappeared in seconds.
