Patricia, I actually used subway tiles in my kitchen, leaving no space for grout. They look amazing and I haven't had any problems at all in a year. Looks so good!
There are tons of new styles of tile that you don't have to use grout for. You can use copper or tin tiles that you can install with adhesive. It looks super cute and high end at the same time.
even glass tiles have no grout. its your kitchen do what you like
