Paint with kilz, and have the carpets cleaned with enzymes.
Activated charcoal absorbs odors - place in containers all over the house. Deep clean each surface with the proper cleaner for the finish. Carpets may need to go. Keep all windows open as much as possible for as long as possible.
They sell fumigating bombs for house and cars that work very well. You also will then get it out of your air ducts and systems.
i think you're going to have to wash all the curtains, the walls, any fabrics (sofa etc) ...lots of work...but that stuff just lingers! Good luck, and I'm sorry that this happened to you
