What can I make from an old kitchen set?

We recently purchased a new kitchen set. I don't want to throw away the old table and four chairs. Any ideas for repurposing would be appreciated.

What about a game room table (chess, checkers, board games, cards, etc)? Or a table for crafting (scrap booking, kids' crafts, laying out sewing patterns, making beautiful things, etc)? Or a mega-desk (just one chair) where one can spread out and clip/organize coupons, compose/compile newsletters/church bulletins, work on reports, create spreadsheets, etc? You can also set aside the chairs, throw a sheet over the table and make a playhouse for little ones.

I agree with the game room table. You could even paint a checkerboard on top and just add the game pieces for chess, checkers, etc. Or, mosaic the top with tile and turn it into a patio set or sunroom table for plants

Here's what I'm doing with my old table: I cut it in half and made it into a console/sofa table. I just have to finish staining it. You could use the left over wood to make a seat benches!

Got a picture of this set? I can give better ideas then. Can it be sold? Young couples are always looking to decorate on the cheap!
