They may be! Cut the foliage off, store in a paper bag in a dark, cool place and plant in the fall. Never hurts to try it!
Yes! I have some in pots and I just repot in fresh soil every fall and let them pop up in spring still in pots.
can't hurt to try. I did it with Hyacinth bulbs last fall, forgot all about them and this spring they popped up!
Some bulbs need to be lifted and brought indoors for the winter, depending upon what part of the country you live in.
when my plant was done blooming I took it outside and planted it ..it is a bulb afterall. It grew and threw off a separate shoot..it 'bloomed' again that year. the next year the original stem and the shoot both bloomed and threw off the second shoot...long story short after four years the Easter lilly is blooming still and throwing shoots. I now have eight (8) stems blooming as I write this and all have new shoots....don't put your bulb in a sac, garage or any place but in the ground. this is Montana and need I say more...plant it,water it and love it...youll not be sorry.....
you probably got :
1. Easter Lily or
2. Amaryllis
both would do well in the ground - planted 2x deeper than the size of the bulb (( if bulb is 3 inches - bury 6 inches down))
I would mulch well (at least 2 inches ) over winter
GOOD LUCK - ENJOY
Check the bulbs to see if they are firm. If yes you're good to go. If they are mushy they are dead.
