Make sure your landlord gives you permission in writing. You wouldn't want to lose your security deposit. If the linoleum is solid and stable. self stick tiles would be w great idea.
Hello Kristen; Yes, square stick on tiles will work well.
I would suggest that you purchase a slightly better grade than what you think, as they are heavier, and will look Fantastic!!!
I did a Condo for a Friend of mine, and honestly it looked like a Professional did it once it was done!!
You will need heavy duty caulking, patience and a sharp razor knife.
Good Luck with your flooring!!! I hope that you Love it!
Before you do any redecorating that will change your apartment -- you need to check with the landlord/manager. They may not let you do it and if you do, you may loose your deposit.
if you are in an apartment....the owner or managers might not like the peel and stick idea. Check with them first. Throw rugs or runners or recycled rubber tiles. There are also 2x2 ft.snap together foam squares that are really nice if you have to stand for a while.
We recently put down peel and stick tiles in our bathroom. Before you begin, make sure your floor is clean and dry. Find the center of your floor. Mark the center with a pencil. This is where your first tile should be laid. Work out from there. Hope this helps you.
The house we had had water damage once, it had 4 layers of sticky tile and a carpet. Check with your landlord before however. Ours said yes.
thanks guy! i appreciate it!
