I am guessing that you want to lighten the paneling and replace the carpet??

As you can see there are sites to be checked out. How extensive a remodel are you planning? Just paint might be a good start.
There was a mobile home makeover show a while back. Actually, it was filmed in Cali. As for paneling, it is easy to paint. Just prime it first. One house I owned had the dark brown paneling. I wanted a different look so I bought buckets of dry wall mud and spread it randomly for a stucco look. Primed and painted. Very labor intensive, but nice look. Painting would be easier.
