Try charcoal, put some in the microwave for a couple days and more around the house in dishes.
I'd try lemon and vinegar together in it that's what I use, for the rest of the house steam some cinnamon sticks on the stove

Try putting Vanilla in a microwaveable container and set the heat to boil it. Let it cool in the microwave. Use it again for the house if needed. For the house boil a lemon (cut in 4 pieces) in water. Again...Vanilla can get rid of the burnt smell.
A Lemon cut up sure helps
Elizabeth! Do you mean cooking vanilla extract? Thank you!
Elizabeth! It appears as tho lemon can be used for so many different things in the household. Thank you for your help
My children have burned bags of popcorn in the microwave until they're unrecognizable . Try alternating bowls of fresh lemon juice and vinegar .
I have never had a problem with liquid vanilla being flammable and I have used it for baking, alleviating smells. I'm on the senior side of life as well...never burned anything that I used vanilla in... If a person is afraid of using vanilla..boil a lemon or lemon juice in water . That can take care of smells too.
Have tried all your suggestions. Charcoal is in it now. However the stain won't come off. I Thank you all for your help. I will get a new one. Any suggestions What type is best? Thank you!
