How do i hang shelves to hold a lot of weight?

I would install a floating shelf and be sure to anchor the bolts into the studs. You can get these at Ikea, Amazon and home stores. The metal bracket distributes the weight. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=how+to+install+floating+shelf+on+drywall
You have to find the studs and hang your shelves
If the walls are hollow, you might try toggle bolts, (Amazon link to picture below). Very useful if relying on studs presents a problem.
Remember, too, the longer the down leg on decorative brackets, the more weight you can add.
