If nice means smooth and slick, the answer is no. But it can look terrific as long as you understand that chalk paint has chalk or another ingredient which adds a slight texture in the finish. Let every layer dry completely before adding another layer of anything.
Don't understand why you would want to do that. Chalk paint is expensive and I have never heard of anyone using it as a primer. If you are looking for something to prime the furniture with I would suggest Kilz Adhesion Primer.
