How to get rid of ANTs Forever?

when April comes so do the ants. Each year it takes us longer to kill them. We tried Terri ant killer. I think the ants love it now and keep coming back. This year I can't get rid of them. After the rain, we have so many. Need to be care have a new puppy. Does any on know what I can use. Help the ants are taken over my home

I am the vinegar girl. You need to find their hill or home. Many have good luck with cornmeal.
With terro you have to be patient. The first day or so the ants mass around it and carry it back to the nest which kills everything. Don't do a thing which I know is hard ( I HATE bugs!) If you sprayed with raid or something like it, it will lessen effectiveness. Use Terro and nothing else....and crate the pup for a while. Or keep him out of that room.
Our bug guy told us that ants have developed an immunity to Terro and many other store bought remedies so we have him spray 4 times a year and have no ant problems.

Call a pest control. Sometimes they sell a professional spray not sold in stores for ant's that you can't seem to kill .
granular spectracide from Lowes. Run a line around your house on ground outside. Keeps out all bugs. Lasts for 2-3months. Keep pets up until it has rained once or twice. That goes for children too.
"Sure fire" Ant Kill: follow them to their nest hole. Pour in a little gas, the fumes will fill the tunnels. Step back, light a match. Ants Gone.
