use flat bricks just about even with the soil. I had used red brick at house no. 1.
Hello Margaret, You can purchase (or rent) an "Edger" to create a trench next to your driveway, sidewalk, etc. You will probably have to re-do it every 4 - 6 weeks to keep the grass from intruding over the trench. You could also use a straight edge shovel to create the trench. Hope this helps you. Good luck.

My dad cemented a 4 inch strip just below the grass level (think edging as an L) so the lawnmower wheels could ride on the cement, no more edging we did not even own a trimmer.
I agree, flat bricks is a great idea!
