It definitely is a bit more dependent on where you're living but there are some vegetables that can be planted now. Basil and garlic are two good ones that you can plant now.
It may be to late but Zinneas are great with Sun.
It very much depends where you live? What continent? Country? Part of that country? Local climate and time of year? It's winter here so most things can be planted.

People here plant collards,kale,mustard greens,winter squash varieties,garlic,basil,bushes,trees and flower bulbs for next year.The bulbs should be planted in autumn,but with water,they will survive the heat and may even sprout.Look on the internet for your area of the world to see what will work for you.Good luck and God bless.
