I would just buy one inch foam the at a fabric store and cut to size (donut shapes) ,use fabric adhesive to attach leather or something like it to the foam . Finally, carefully remove the old and clean the surface well. Then glue on the new ones with super glue .

I actually was lazy when I did it, I cut some foam from packaging that electronics came in and stuffed it in an old black sock. I made two. I cut the sock to length and slipped it on the headphones.
Get foam, cut round pieces like donuts that fit area. Lycra material is stretchy and you can cut rounds then use gathering stitch to draw around area. Should be fairly easy and you can have fun picking design of material.
I like Lavonne's sock idea!
try buying a pool noodle and slicing them to fit. They already have a hole in them.
