in ye olden days plaster was strengthen by hair....I'm sure a craft store would have a better answer.
I work in Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete and we also mix glass fiber with plaster when we are building molds to strengthen it, but it may be hard to find if you don't have someone to hook you up. I think the previous poster, DFM, was spot on with the hair advice. It should work perfectly! Just ask your hairstylist to save you a bag!
Maybe even fishing line if you want to sit for hours cutting it up into small pieces!

Why do you need it stronger?
plasrer of Paris is very brittle.....and can be a bit chalky. The hair fibers help to strengthen it.
