A brick mold cleaner would do the trick. You can get it from any hardware store like Home Depot or Lowe's. If it were me I would give it a good scrubbing with the mold cleaner and a brush and then bite the bullet and rent a pressure washer and go ahead and pressure wash the entire exterior. Or you could pay a neighborhood kid to do it for you or a professional. Good luck!

bleach spray n power wash
I'd recommend power washing, but yes, it will make a clean spot, but to power wash an entire wall takes 15 minutes then the whole thing would be clean, brightened up and mold free. so it would be worth the few extra minutes.
Power washing with a chlorine bleach solution will take care of any mold/algae/mildew problems on your bricks.
Mix hot water with Borax and scrub it off using a stiff, brisk brush. It will clean up nicely and kill the mold. Also, Borax is a natural product, so you won't be breathing in harmful fumes.
Bleach spray and power wash is a great idea!
