I would use at least 8x8 or 10x10 to make the bathroom appear larger.
What size and shape is the floor? Are you wanting to cover all in same tile or create a border? Are you wanting a vintage look or a modern one? It really depends on your taste but that being said, 18" tile in a 5sq foot area would probably make the space seem really small.
Hope that helps

Use the largest size possible in the color/style of your choice. Remember that grout lines visually divide the space; the more grout lines you have, the smaller the space will look. Grout color should be the tile's background color.
We used 12x24 in a bathroom with a 5x5 floor space. It makes it feel so much larger.
