A picture is worth a thousand words.
How you arrange your furniture will depend upon how many pieces you have. Is your TV in a cabinet? Can you hang it on the wall?
The easiest and least work, is to sketch various furniture arrangements on a piece of graph paper.
A picture would be helpful, especially to figure out the tv. If it can't be mounted on the wall, you may want to look into getting a wall mounted television to help with space. These links have some tips for narrow living spaces that may or may not apply:

Depends on where any doors and/or windows are. At a guess I would put it across a corner.
People often make the mistake of following the long rooms by putting the couch on the long walls, which just make the room look long and narrow. Have your tried the other way. Your couch doesn't need to be against the wall you can have it in the middle some where with a sofa table behind it. Give it a try and you might find the answer to where to put the TV. (along the back wall).
If your room is long, try to place pieces at each end of the room, that will square it up a bit. If you can angle some of your furniture towards a wall, you TV could go there. Or put your TV at one end with a TV 'table' then put furniture at the other end, again with the goal of making the room look les long and more square.

Is your TV able to be mounted to a wall?
Share your thoughts!Divide the room in half and put it at one side for a small group, put a sofa table behind a couch or another love seat facing the other wiay with some chairs to make a reading area. You can also use the corner for the t.v and a small area of seats facing it , but a long room needs divided into more than one sitting area
