Sand all the paint off. Will take a bit of time, so be patient.
Take it to a commercial stripper. Not that expensive, and they get all the paint off.
I took mayonnaise ( for real! ) and took off a water stain and it stripped the paint.
I would start with a heavy grit sandpaper and just keep getting through the layers. With that many layers it's going to take good old-fashioned elbow grease and an electric sander. Good luck
May have to use a hand held sander on that one .
sand it and put on burnt orange stain or other stain of your choice
