How do you paint a bathtub?

    If its plastic or fibergass, you maybe able to stain it. Otherwise it's a process that would be more costly than purchasing a tub in the color of your choice.

    your local home improvement centers should have sufficient paint and instructions for you. They are especially helpful in answering questions if you talk to a manager or older person who has experience in his department

    First you need to know what you are working with like Debra said above. I am in process of working on cast iron clawfoot tub and using rustoleum oil base on outside the inside was good just needed a good cleaning. Molly suggestion if it's the inside you are refinishing sounds good. I didn't need to refinish inside I didn't use 2 part epoxy it sounded like more than I wanted to try, I did some research on it while deciding what I wanted to use.

    there is an epoxy bath and tile paint kit at the home improvement store. Good luck and hope this helps.
