WD40. Rub with t shirt material. I've had some luck with it over the years removing adhesive from tape and labels.
Try coating it in olive oil or canola oil. Oils generally break down adhesive .
Try a little peanut butter and an old toothbrush.
Goo gone will work but you have to let it sit about 2-5 min to dissolve the mess.
WD40 sounds good :)
googone works very well
Try oil. Dab a bit on a cotton round and "scrub" the sticky mess. Oil usually breaks down the glue.
anything oily peanut butter, vegetable oil of any kind, will break down the adhesive over time. That's Step #1. Step #2: Hit it with Dawn super grease cutting dish detergent and lots of hot, HOT water, and scrub like crazy.
I use WD40 on all my sticky labels
Try baby oil.
Try nail polish remover
Use Avon skin so soft. Fantastic. Rub on & sticky stuff rolls off.
here's an odd one for you to try: this works exceptionally well on glass but I'm unsure about plastic...maybe, maybe not...worth a try, tho. This is a product I purchased at Home Depot: NorthAmerican 100% natural non-aerosol Pure Citrus Orange air freshener 7 fl. oz.
give it a try...worked GREAT on glass!!
Believe it or not....I have heard a bit of vodka can break down adhesive residue. I tried it once, and it worked!!
L.O.C. by Amway removes wallpaper, and cleans and removes many, many other things. It is concentrated and biodegradable.
Vegetable oil or vaseline
Try nail polish remover.
WD40 is the best. Let it soak for awhile and gently rub off. Then wash with soap and water. Best I have found so far
dishsoap works every time
Thank you everyone for your help!
I've used olive oil on stubborn stickers. Dab a few drops on the spot and rub it with your fingers. Hope it works!
Absolute best remedy to remove sticky stuff from plastic and glass - lighter fluid! Works every time. Make sure to wash well after with dish soap and water.
Hairdryer blowing warm air for a few minutes usually will release it; I've then scrubbed sticky/goo with baking soda paste.
nail polish remover
Pam or other oil sprays, spray on let sit for a while then soap and water.
Spray with cooking oil - rub it in with fingers. Works like a charm! Wash it all off when done with Dawn to get any oily residue off.
Or, You can also put the container with the label in a container just a bit bigger, and fill bigger container with hot, soapy water. Let it soak overnight and it will come off by just rubbing it with your fingers.
I prefer the cooking oil method better though because I don't like to wait 😉
Te a tree oil works like a bomb,
WD-40 works like a charm. Then wash the item with soap and hot water.
I use spray cooking oil like Pam and one of those round plastic scrubbies, sometimes a single edge razor blade.
