You do not have enough room for the ice to drop, and begin again. Just empty it, and all will be well again. OR, change the settings to FILL less often. It looks like you don't use the ice, as much as it is set for. I would empty it weekly, and then you will be fine. Clean this area, while you have it open and empty too. Best wishes, J.
Set your cell phone, etc...to remind you to empty all the ice on a certain day...our day is a Saturday...
Forgot to mention I don't have it connected so I only use ice from trays
Has to do with the water not completely shutting off. Very expensive to buy parts to fix. Our icebox was very old so was too costly to repair. We just shut the ice maker off and inserted ice trays. Less work and cleaning this way.
Yes that what I decided to use ice trays but the frost build up is daily I have to scrape ice off daily
If you haven't used it yet, then why are you concerned of the freezer, freezing up? Has this happened in another ice maker that you had at one time? I would empty it, monthly, and be sure to mark your calander, so you won't forget it. Best wishes, with your tray, for these are very handy too. You can do a lot of diff. freezing with this., making things for kids, and seasoning too. Your name is lovely. J.
