The corners, where two pieces meet, are coming up on my laminate counter top.. Anything I can do to get them to lie flat again? I noticed the color is beginning to rub off on those raised areas.

Go to the hardware store and get a small bottle of rubber cement. Clean out the area to be glued, get a couple chopsticks or something to hold apart the lifted area. Apply the rubber cement on both surfaces and let dry to tacky. Be sure to wipe anything away on top of surface.

When tacky put the 2 surfaces together, then put a weight on it, like a cast iron frying pan or heavy cans of food. Leave overnight. And should be good as new.

If the laminate curled before you started, run a hot hair dryer over it, and put weights on it to flatten before you begin gluing.

In this process, you would have to lay something heavy on the counter until the glue is taken. This may have to rest over night. Enjoy, and have a great day, J.
