I've been trying to clear a bathroom sink that will not drain.

It hasn't been used in 2 years. I have tried chemicals, new sink plunger, snake and nothing happens. I wondered if it would be safe to try a bladder type of drain opener that you attach to your garden hose . I supposedly blasts out clogs but don't want to blast out my pipes. Any thoughts? I can't afford a plumber.

I had that problem, I did the "baking soda, vinegar, peroxide" which I found on line, it worked great
Have you opened the pipes under the sink? I would start there to see exactly where it's blocked. Maybe as simple as replacing them.
May have to run a snake more than once, after 2yrs the slimy build up would have hardened and flaked off into the line. It may take several attempts with an electric powered snake, along with some water to thin it all out. Also check vent pipe going to roof, they occasionally get plugged with debris and need to be snaked as well (been a service plumber for nearly 20yrs and have only come across this twice). Using a "blowbag" type device could possibly flood areas of your home, use with extreme caution.
remove and clean out the elbow. (you can unscrew it )then replace it back then add liquid plumber,let it sit for 30 minutes and flush with boiling or very hot water. If you are on a septic system you may need to have your tank cleaned out.
Have you clean the trap elbow under sink? Unscrew with channel lock pliers, Then go to hardware store and get a drain snake, and I like Robotics Drain Cleaner... its a chemical free cleaner that when you mix it with warm water it becomes live microbes that eat the gunk in your pipes. Get the powdered one, not the liquid one. Leave it in all night/day, then run hot water and use your snake.
