Hi, I was trying to use nail polish to make my coffee mugs look like "marble". The polish sat on top of the warm water like a thin layer of skin. I tried to swirl it with a toothpick and it wound around the pick. It looked slick like an oil leak. Please advise, thank you, kim

Hi Kim, here is a link that may help you. It appears that the nail polish needs to stay on the water surface and when you dip your mug into it, that is how the mabble effect happens. Best of luck with this and I'd love to see how they turn out. http://www.hgtv.com/shows/danmade/how-tos/how-to-marble-vases-with-nail-polish
