I am unclear as to what to do with this part of my house, "The Breakfast Nook".
I would go with an electrician first.
i second the electrituon.
You don't know how old those wires are up there. Better to pay someone with experience than shock yourself silly or a friend helping you. Also the electrician also will tell you if he can do the extra or not. I know a guy that would do start to finish
make sure you call around and get quotes from several people and see what they all say and get references!!
If you never worked with electricity hire an electrician. Then you can decide what needs to be done to finish. You can hire a good handyman for the finish work. Cheaper than a contractor.
Definitely get someone to do this for you unless you have an electrician at home...
