    more books. Layed on side and stacked in a pleasing way....paper side edges linded up.. glue books so they won't slide.

    Two bricks. Paint them pretty colors.

    Stick wooden blocks together and paint them in bright colours or buy childrens bubble bath themed bottles when used up fill with sand.

    Take one of those gazillion stuffed animals, open a seam and pull out the body stuffing and fill with rice or beans.

    Any heavy item would do. Go to Goodwill or a thrift store. Be creative. Just make sure it's not breakable and clean it well.
