I have been painting my walls and notice that my ceiling looks yellowish. Can I paint this ceiling as well? I'm up for any ideas
Start by cleaning them really well . Sand lightly and wipe down again . Take painters tape and carefully tape off the bottom near the floor and the top near the bannister. Grab your brush and paint , now you're ready .
Everything C.D. Scallan says is great advice. I would only add using a primer first to make sure nothing shows through! Good luck!
Your balusters can be painted easily. I would use a prime coat then a top coat. I want to do the same thing in my house.
Just came back to say I wouldn't use painters tape unless you don't have a steady hand. There is a clear separation between the balusters and the railing and steps.
I'd suggest chalk paint so that the most work you'd have to do was in the cleaning :)
