Trying to find out how to rip up carpet under the spindles on my stairway? Thank you
i never had the problem but a product. Allen dissolve-it works on things like decals and the sticky stuff left behind after removing peel and stick floors Krud Buster removes all sorts of things or you might try vinegar.or use a steamer to loosen it.
I asked this question, last week except that I am trying to Remove the old Padding from the Wood on my stairs. ( I had removed a carpet) After Numerous calls to Carpet stores and asking on here. I only came up with these two products: Goo Gone, Bygone and just hard work, Scraping .Good luck

My sons are professional installers . They don't use any sort of product just a scraper with a 4 inch flat edge and a great deal of effort . The reason being that any product you use can have have an adverse effect on the glue that they may be using to lay down the new floor . Even if one spot doesn't stick the way its supposed to , they are responsible for replacement of the entire floor .
