Good idea! I tried the rubber, nubby balls and they made a lot of noise and I didn't see were worth using. However, I'm going to be getting some tennis balls and trying those. I hear they work very well but they won't be as cute as yours!

Tennis balls make a lot of noise too. I made my own dryer balls using a large wadded crumple (like my made-up word?) of tin foil. Then using wool roving (Amazon, Joann's), I felted the foil balls. They seem to work fine, so of course, if three balls are good, maybe 6 will be even better (ha), so I bought tennis balls at the dollar store and threw those in as well. Like I said, they are noisy and I'm not sure they help, but oh well. :)
