Hello Purple Lady; What I have done for a Friend of mine is this. I scrubbed the deck with a heavy duty broom and bleach water. The bleach will kill the slime.
I hope that this helps you!!! Take Care!
Would salt kill the slime? Or at least make it less slippery?
I would measure and get some all weather non skid rugs for winter?
Home ownership and its safety cost money.
PurpleLadyHometalker , Ok from Houston Tx to Tomball. First sweep the deck (Clean) wet it down mix Bleach and Dawn in a bucket, use a stiff scrub brush to srub the deck, then use a hose with a adjustable spray nozzle of there is a Powerwash attachment you can buy from Home Depot. Spray the deck and scrub. (maybe twice). Let Dry for a couple of days. Purchase a deck paint and repaint the deck. Some Deck Paints have a abrasive no skid additive.
Purchase no-skid strips and put them where you walk
Great ideas. Thank you
