Pruning shears

Woodbridge Environmental Tiptophouse.com on Feb 10, 2014Depending upon how dull they are, a good quality wheel sander will sharpen them up quickly if they are nicked and damaged. once nicks are removed, a stone sharpener with diamonds on the surface will make them like razors. Use lots of oil to keep stone clean and cool. Rotate the blade on the stone using figure 8 motion. The best thing is to keep the blades clean once done using them. machine oil works well keeping them clean and sharp.Helpful Reply

Val on Feb 12, 2014Hi Bill. I agree with Woodbridge Environmental. Cutting sandpaper for my sanding block wrecked a pair of my garage scissors, but I fixed them with a sharpening stone (lots of oil on the stone). Hope this helps! ValHelpful Reply

KathrynElizabeth Etier on Feb 12, 2014How bad is it? You can cut aluminum foil if they're not too bad. Otherwise, I'd take them to a local hardware store that does blade sharpening.Helpful Reply
