Want to Warm Your Valentine’s Heart?

Balmy Caribbean weather and distant spa escapes sound wonderful to the winter-weary, but travel this winter has been risky. Those with their own hot tub/spa have a well-massaged leg up on experiencing the perfect spa escape right where they are, mid the snow, ice, cold and slush.

Surrounded by snow is the idyllic way to enjoy a romantic spa escape on Valentine’s Day. Many people feel the best time to enjoy a spa’s bubbling warm waters is in winter.
If need be, shovel a path to the hot tub or simply clear the path of any debris that could be picked up by your feet and dirty the water. Consider shocking it the night before, and, again, an hour before the special date.
Have on hand new white towels, candles, two new terry cloth robes and, perhaps, a towel warmer. Also a fire pit, or fire bowl add a great deal to the ambiance.
Contact a radio station for a song dedication (some still do that). Or, have your iPod loaded with favorites. Have warm knit caps; wet hair should not be exposed to the cold for any length of time. (Photo/Courtesy Bullfrog Spas)
