Message centres are generally pretty standard fare... but that can all change with just a few carefully selected crafts from Michaels !
From a burlap note board, to a crate filled with mason jars, these new crafts mixed with old elements truly have you believing you've had these 'antiques' forever! :)
I'll be demoing these crafting techniques at Michaels in Abbotsford, BC on Feb 16th. Check a Michaels in your own area to see what they're offering for the Michaels Hometalk Pinterest Party Event!

An old door teamed up with some unique craft supplies, creating one sweet little vintage inspired message centre.
Michaels carries stretched burlap on frames, which became the perfect base to stencil on a few selected letters.
Screwing twine into the frame, along with chalkboard clothespins, we're ready to hang notes or pictures.
A wash of watered down brown craft paint was used to enhance the wood tone on the crate.
New mason jar lids were antiqued with paint to give them an old galvanized look. Perfection for writing materials!
A days of the week yard stick was added to help deal with paperwork taken care of on time. Visit the blog post below for a few other details!
