Ok Knbmclure :/ I wish I had better news for you but IH ave scoured the web looking for ANY DIY way of getting that foot rest off your marble wall, and have come up empty. Unless there is a skilled mason out there who knows what to do and can help out the only thing I can suggest is to call around in your area to find a professional who can and will do it at a reasonable price. From what I have read the only way to get expoxy off any type of stone is with some serious acidic action (and I'm not talking vinegar here) that is not availble to everyday folk like you and I, and it will etch your marble, leaving wherever it touches pitted and dull looking :( Thank you for coming to Hometalk for answers. I wish I could have had a great one for you. I hope someone out there does.
I would call a company that instales marble, you may need to call more than on to get an answer. Ask at your local hard ware store like Lowes, or Home depot.
