Hello John, It looks like fun to me -- hard work, but fun, with a beautiful ending :) here aer a few weblinks that should be of help to you. My cousin is a mason and let me know that you don't need wire over brick before applying the scratch bcause the wire is just to have somthing for the plaster to grab onto when applying stucco to a wooden wall. If you do NOT want a solid stucco then don't scratch the wall first but if you DO want a nice solid stucco wall, apply a scratch coat first. Let the scratch coat sit 24-48 hours before applying the darby coat. After the second coat is done you want to hose it down a few times every day to keep it from cracking as it is setting.
